// The Challenge

People who track their macros face a constant challenge: eating out. Restaurant menus rarely show nutritional information, and manually estimating macros for complex dishes is unreliable. Existing calorie-tracking apps require manual entry and don't integrate with the real-world dining experience. There was no tool that could tell you "this restaurant near you has meals that fit your macro targets" — until now.

// The Solution

We're building MacroMap — a platform that combines location-based restaurant discovery with AI-powered menu analysis. The system scrapes and processes restaurant menus, then uses AI to estimate macro breakdowns (protein, carbs, fats, calories) for each item. Users can browse nearby restaurants on an interactive map, view menu items with nutritional estimates, and filter by their macro targets. The web app provides the core experience, while a React Native mobile app brings it to users on the go.
