// The Challenge

Food service businesses are required to maintain temperature logs for regulatory compliance, but most still use paper-based systems. Paper logs are easy to lose, hard to audit, prone to errors, and don't provide real-time alerts when temperatures fall outside safe ranges. Kitchen staff need a fast, touch-friendly tool they can use on a tablet between tasks.

// The Solution

We built a mobile-optimised web app designed for tablet use in kitchen environments. Staff record AM/PM temperature readings for configurable storage areas, with real-time colour-coded validation — green for safe, amber for near-limit, red for out-of-range. The app supports cooking/reheating and cooling procedure tracking, a draft system for incomplete records, digital signature capture for record validation, and push notification alerts for temperature anomalies. Completed records can be exported as branded PDF reports for health inspections and audits.
