// The Challenge

Meal planning apps are functional but boring, and food social networks don't help you actually plan your week. We wanted to merge the two — a social platform where you discover recipes from real people and chefs, then use AI to turn those inspirations into personalised weekly meal plans that account for your family's dietary needs, what's already in your pantry, and what's in season.

// The Solution

We built Niblr as a full-stack React application with two distinct experiences. Planner accounts get AI-generated 7-day meal plans (with dietary filters), recipe discovery, shopping list generation, pantry tracking, and family member profiles with allergy/dietary awareness. Business accounts (professional chefs) get a full marketplace presence — service listings, booking management, a business dashboard with analytics, and Stripe Connect integration for payments. Social features (follows, likes, comments, notifications via WebSocket) tie everything together into a community.
